Welfare or no-fair?

Hello everyone,

I have a number of pieces in process of being written, but haven’t as yet finished any of them 🙂 . That is what happens when you have a 2 year old child whom you care for and look after. But I believe a father being as involved in the care of their child can only bring good things.

I also have many other interests, which sometimes draws me away from writing 🙂 – which is an interest 🙂 .

I have been listening to some of the bull s#!t that is once again been presented by our imbecilic Government that continues to significantly piss me off. This current bull s#!t is about eliminating the welfare system – even though they don’t directly say that they are trying to eliminate the welfare system, it is pretty obvious that this is the steady progression.

Before I begin, I must apologise for my language in this post. As I continue to be infuriated by attacks on the poorest and most vulnerable people in our community, I can’t help myself 🙂 .

Please try understand my s#!ts and fire trucks, due to my fury over this!

Our Government is once again attempting to kill off much of our welfare system; this is a regular thing for economic rationalist governments these days – no matter what country they are in – and it continues to significantly piss me off.

Liberal Governments, the most extreme in this country, are the worst at it, and Labor Governments, though less extreme aren’t much difference in ideology these days.

My opening statement:

Welfare systems exists to “HELP” people.

Unfortunately welfare recipients, particularly in this country, are continually demonised and portrayed as bludgers!

You see, I have watched people with disabilities and chronic illnesses struggle, worked with them, suffered with them; I know some of the difficulties that they face on a day to day basis.

I have at times helped them, consoled them, and even counselled them.

When a government, of any persuasion, attacks people who are struggling with disability or chronic illness, the poor, single parents and those who are suffering, I along with many others in our country, start to become extremely irate. These are the MOST hard done by people in community.

What really pisses me off with this shit, is that these politicians continue to suggest that people on welfare are bludgers and shouldn’t be receiving the sort of care that they currently do.

WTF! Excuse me! !!

Have these very wealthy scumbags even tried to live off the pitiful amount of money they offer in support? The answer to that is a resounding NOOOOOO! Nor will they ever!!!

Well actually only one in Australia has – Adam Bandt  – in the seat of Melbourne has – even if it was only for one week – and more likely a media stunt!

At least he has attempted to understand, which is more than I can say for the rest of the ratbags in this current extremist Government.

The rhetoric that is constantly presented to the Australian people, is that if someone can work, whether it be for one hour or ten, they should be working; preferably with no support or monetary assistance.

As if that would actually pay the bills in a country where most (if not all) of the Capital Cities fall within the top 12 most expensive cities in the world to live in.

Well that is all well and good, but what these fuckwits continue to ignore, or more importantly deny, is that:

Whether or not the person wants to or needs to work part time:
part time jobs just simply don’t exist!!!

… and…. for that matter there are limited FULL TIME jobs!!!

The rhetoric continues to ignore the fact that the jobless rate is on average 5%, and continues to be so. It is soooo easy for these fuckwits to accuse people with chronic illnesses or disability, single parents, or those who are jobless, that they should have a job.

While there may be a few who do abuse the welfare system, these are in the MINISCULE number of recipients, NOT the majority – and we must remember that!

How is it possible to explain to these wealth, arrogant and extremely ignorant politicians that regardless of what the person is struggling with, IT DOESN’T MATTER – They just need help – NOT A BIG STICK!!!

How can we tell these imbecilic dinosaurs that you have to reinforce positives, not bash with negatives. Let’s look at this example. What is the FIRST thing you think of if I say to you “DON’T think of a yellow VW beetle”! Irest my case!

The tiny amount of money (and it is VERY tiny) doesn’t support drug addiction, job evasion, bludgers, surfing, etc.

How can we tell these fuckwits that the tiny amount of money that they grudgingly offer DOESN’T support the people who actually need help – this is EVERY SINGLE unemployed person, sick person, and disabled person.

More money and support helps!!!
Less money and support increases suffering and hardship!!!

Hardship and suffering DO NOT HELP people!

Anyone who is unemployed actually needs help – in whatever form that might be. We as a community need to determine what form that should take – and NOT SOME IMBECILIC IDEALISTIC GOVERNMENT.

What I can absolutely say with complete certainty is that:

Why don’t these politicians actually care? Oh it doesn’t fall into the implementation of their idealistic agenda!

They DESIRE small governments. They desire low taxes for big business and the wealthy – they increase taxes on the poor to make it more equal in their eyes – which increases hardship for the poor. They desire the elimination of welfare. This is called economic rationalist ideology! It doesn’t work to help countries. It definitely doesn’t work to help the people of those countries.

So far it has only caused economic crises – with more to come!

This isn’t about welfare, financial hardship, taxes or costs, but ideology! It is ENTIRELY about ideology.

I am soooo sick of this shit! Why for God’s sake can’t we actually care about what is happening in our community?

Have these politicians ever looked beyond their rose coloured glasses?

I remember reading a report about a European government that extensively funded job programs – ?Denmark? This country, in comparison to Australia had a high rate of job participation, a lower rate of unemployment, and more job satisfaction – from memory.

The problem is that in Australia we have OLD politicians, from an OLD era. They think that if you whip people, or beat people into line, they will do what they are told!

Well actually if these fuckwits do the research (scientifically speaking – oh they disposed of the position of science minster), or got it into their VERY thick neanderthal skulls, they would actually find that encouragement (not brutality) is the answer.

The BIG STICK doesn’t work!!! NOR HAS IT EVER WORKED!!!

Their private school education was WRONG. Oh dear…. Fancy that!

But…. back to the initial issue.

So kicking people off a higher welfare payment to a lower welfare payment, making them jump through more hoops – and more difficult hoops – forcing them to undergo constant assessments, demonising, demoralising them, and causing more hardship, WON’T WORK!!! It doesn’t WORK!!! It has NEVER worked, and will NEVER work!!! It only increases hardship YOU IDEALISTIC DICKHEADS!!!

The reason this policy will be put through the Australian parliament and implemented is that our politicians don’t give a shit – and “it costs less” to cut, than to actually help people by funding supportive environments!

Can I reiterate one last time – as if I haven’t already said it enough:

They only care about money for shareholders! How cynical Greg!

For someone with an illness, disability or a parent to find work, there must be an accommodating employer.

When will this IMBECILIC IDEALISTIC  Government realise that THERE ARE NO accommodating employers!!! or at least very very very few!

The facts are:
5% Of Australian’s are on average unemployed, and a further 5% on top of that are underemployed.

Money is the New “God” of the economic rationalists!

Having worked with, cared for and assisted people who are unemployed, sick, or disabled, to continue to hear this sort of bull shit is beyond my capacity to deal with – without screaming that is 🙂 . Hence my screaming tonight!

I think what this county, and this world needs, are representative governments – as if that is EVER going to happen!

Wow, well that was powerful wasn’t it? Did you hear anything? Or do you still hear “bludger”, “malingerer”?

Were you confronted by my opinion? Or just iritated – perhaps that says something you should think about.

Well that is the end of my expletives for tonight – though I would like to continue as there is much more to scream about in this pathetic society that we have built world over.

I hope my screaming hasn’t been TOO confronting for you; particularly to those who disagree with my opinions – and I know that there are a few who read my posts who DO disagree. …BUT… my role is to make YOU think! Will you think??? Or will you cling to your comfortable ignorance???

Oh… ignorance IS bliss!

Have a good night!

About Blog of Greg

I consider myself a thinker and I like to discuss everything in life with those around me. Mostly I am serious, sometimes I am funny, and occasionally I am rude. I like to wear my heart on my sleeve and say what I feel, or think! It is important to me to be honest about how I feel and why! I detest pretense, big egos and self importance. I believe that I am no more important than you, and similarly that you are no more important than me! [apparently I should reflect on this more often] This blog is a way of engaging people in different aspects of life; its goal is to present a different view of life and contribute to a broadening of our awareness. While this blog is essentially my opinion, I also understand that there are other opinions out there. Though I encourage discussion, I may “delete” comments that I find are unhelpful, argumentative, or offensive towards myself or another person. Often I write about politics – apparently that is an interest of mine – but I also like to write about other more personal things that affect us in our day to day lives. Along with this blog, I also write to politicians and newspapers; I often present a commentary on my blog about following comments or decisions. That way everyone understands what they have said – and sometimes of course how big a buffoon they are:) Please feel free to comment on my posts, as I would like to hear what you have to say. After all…. Your opinion is just as valid as mine!
